I am in a similar boat, I need some time to work on my project and introspect on the actual product before I can even think about growth not to mentioned growth on steroids is months/a year away. I was targeting for YC16 or later, but I still applied thinking YC community may help with the feedback and vendors (its a hardware project/startup), and overall pointing me in the correct direction.
Totally possible, it might be for the battery or for may be its not buying but just sharing of technology. For. e.g. give battery technology and take dashboard technology.
Same here, I have tried various approaches, but couldn't settle on any. I loved the idea of bullet journaling. I am doing something similar, glad to put name to its face :)
Valid points, but instead of complaining, we need to understand why these trends are coming back? For. e.g. back in a days hit counter were a sign of credibility and popularity, popups are to grab user's attention (there is no excuse to auto play video!) same way twitter followers are displayed to show how popular the user is, popups and modal screens are used to say this is a different context (per say). Even though they are misused just for the sake of a developer doing 'cool stuff'. We should figure out is there more creative way to address these ?
I still dont get it, sounds like: 'look! ebay employees are also dabbling with node'.
What did you actually build? Is it your hackathon project 'Talk' that you build on node, or was it something else?
