You're right, but it's immaterial. You don't upgrade your GPU to run VSCode better

I actually did this because I use my TV as a monitor, and I had to upgrade the GPU to get better framerates over HDMI.

I'm not sure that has anything to do with the GPU performance. I am using an M1 MBP and I get 144hz to my 4k monitor
